Terms of Service

This is a translation of the Traditional Chinese original. If the two versions differ, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.

Welcome to ChopIt (“the Service”, at https://chopit.koxu.top). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

The Service lets groups record shared expenses, split costs and get settlement suggestions. It is free to use and supported by ads.

2. Accounts

• You sign in with a LINE account. Keep your LINE account secure; actions taken through it are treated as your own.
• You can delete your account at any time on the Account page. See the Privacy Policy for what deletion does.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything illegal or record content that infringes other people's rights;
• access, disrupt or damage the Service at scale with automated programs;
• try to access ledgers you were not invited to, or other people's data.

To keep the Service running well, it has usage limits (for example, how many ledgers each person can create and how many members and transactions each ledger can have). The Service may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

4. Results are for reference

• Settlement amounts are calculated from the data you and other members enter and rounded per currency, so they may differ slightly from actual amounts.
• Exchange rates come from public third-party data and may differ from your bank's or card's actual rate. You can adjust rates manually on the settlement page.
• Members should confirm amounts with each other before paying. The Service does not handle any money and is not responsible for disputes between members.

5. Changes and interruptions

The Service may be paused for maintenance, upgrades or events beyond its control, and features may be changed or discontinued. The Service makes every effort to keep data safe and backs it up daily, but cannot guarantee that data will never be lost. Keep your own copy of important records.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, the Service is not liable for any loss arising from using or being unable to use it.

7. Changes to these terms

Changes will be posted on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
